Social media QR code

Pick a platform and type your username. The tool builds your profile link and puts it in the code.

Checked against the live tool on 27 October 2026 by decoding the codes it made.

What the code contains

Instagram, typed as @qrotto

https://instagram.com/qrotto

LinkedIn, typed as jane doe

https://linkedin.com/in/janedoe

Discord invite code

LinkedIn and some other platforms use a profile address that differs from your display name. Copy it from your profile page rather than typing your name.

What it does not do

Typing the @ or leaving it out gives the same link. A pasted profile link also works: the tool keeps only the username and drops the rest.

Common mistakes

Pasting a link from a different platform

A pasted link is trimmed to the username only when it matches the platform you picked. Check the platform menu first, and look at the preview under the field before you download.

Typing your display name

Spaces are removed, so jane doe becomes janedoe. That is only right if janedoe is really your username. Copy it from your profile address rather than typing your name.

Changing your username after printing

The username is inside the code. If you rename your account, every printed code opens the old address. Print once you are sure of the name.

Questions

Does it open the app or the website?

The code holds a normal web address. If the app is installed, the phone usually opens the profile there; if not, it opens in the browser.

Can I put all my social accounts in one code?

Not in one of these codes. Make a single page that lists them and link to it; see One QR code for all social media.

How big should I print it?

Our Instagram test made a 29 × 29 grid, so 20 mm (0.8 in) is enough.
